Dr. Nick Nissley
Executive Director, School for Creative and Performing Arts
Dr. Nick Nissley joined the School for Creative and Performing Arts in July 2015 in the newly created position of executive director. A seasoned education executive, Dr. Nissley has diverse creative leadership experiences in fundraising, professional development, human resources, teaching and the arts.
Most recently, Dr. Nissley served as dean of the Business Technologies Division at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, overseeing 18 degree programs and 14 certificate programs serving 2,500 students.
Previously, Dr. Nissley served as executive director of The Banff Center, a leadership development institution in Alberta, Canada; vice president for Workforce and Organization Effectiveness and chief learning officer at the Milton Hershey School, a coeducational home and school in Hershey, Pennsylvania, for 1,800 children and young adults from low-income families; professor of Organization Learning and Development at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis; professor of Management at the McGregor School of Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio; and vice president for Organization Development and Learning at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio.
He is a published writer and actor, with semi-professional stage experience.
Dr. Nissley earned a doctorate degree in Human Resources Development from George Washington University; a master's degree in management from the McGregor School of Antioch University; and a bachelor's degree in geology and mineralogy from The Ohio State University.
