Business Advisory Committee

The Visual Arts/Creative Writing Business Advisory Committee includes individuals with expertise in visual art, design, publishing, marketing, branding, and professional writing. The Advisory serves to link the business and academic worlds with the career technical education classroom, helping the SCPA and Oyler instructors to:

• Identify professional areas that have been altered by COVID-19 in order to anticipate changes in the job market
• Specify how professionals are working differently in a pandemic
• Promote and advocate for the SCPA and Oyler Visual Arts/Creative Writing programs in our community
• Recognize emerging technology
• Assess and recommend equipment
• Develop work-based learning experiences
• Recommend up-to-date post-secondary education, training, and career options to students
• Assist in the design, development, implementation, and/or evaluation of curriculum, courses, and projects
