CPS to Outline Plan for School Closures

March 13, 2020

CPS officials will gather for a press conference to outline the district’s plan during the three-week school closure ordered by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to control the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

At the press conference, school board members and administrators will address meals for eligible students, minimizing disruption of specialized services, volunteer opportunities and accepting of donations. On March 13, students will be taking home learning packets prepared by teachers to keep them engaged in learning at home.

Governor DeWine announced that all K-12 schools — including public, private and charter — will close starting March 17 and reopen April 6.

Parents are encouraged to continue to monitor the district’s website for more information and updates, cps-K12.org.
